Once upon a time. . . Does that still lead to 'happily ever after'?
As the sinners filed into their respected homes, a little light with a name would flicker on slowly in front of the girl synced into the mainframe. Her red eyes fluttered open, her white eyelashes brushed softly on her cheeks. Her arms had been tied up in a crucifixion style, held by intense amounts of wiring. Her bright eyes scanned over her little black room full of wires before her eyes locked onto the panel that glowed dimly with the small characterized icons of the sins, their names above their little cartoon heads.
Sloth, Wrath, Rage, Pride, Greed, Lust, Gluttony, and Envy. . . The girl's long hair tickled the back of her knees as she hung there suspended. A weak smile cracked onto her features. Focusing her energies she managed to knock her self unconscious. Then a spiritual form of her manifested itself. Looking on her own malnourished body she crinkled her nose in disgust. In her new form, she was healthy and plump again, a mischievous grin painted her face as she bounded through the wall.
Skipping happily through the metal machinations of the Rengoku's underground the girl whistled a haunting little tune. The music of her song echoed throughout the upper levels, into the houses of the sins. As she made her way up to the main level of the compound the Hybrids ducked into their residential blocks to hide. A quick pang of sorrow stabbed at her heart, she shook it off and frolicked over to the outlet panel on this floor that linked to the mainframe, she concentrated and managed to hack into the sinners homes wiring. A sweet smile flickered at the corners of her mouth as she hacked the holoscreens in their homes.
An image appeared onto all of the sinners holoscreens, eight screens in each block gave off her image. She waved giddily at the camera. In her wildest dreams she never thought humans would come here. She was filled with childlike joy.
"Hello! My name is Haru. I have managed to break through the Mad Man's feed. Now, I have come to deliver a message. You aren't dead. Maestro will never give you truth, he wants to keep you all cloistered here for eternity! Horrible right? Listen, I don't have much time. My body is rejecting the form I am taking currently. If I don't return I'll go into shock. So, I need you all to listen to me pretty please, come get me. I'm trapped in the secret zones of the station. You heard me, this isn't some ethereal place hinted at in myth. This is a space station. Yeah, we're in space right now. You all almost died. In fact you did. However Maestro trotted in and whisked you away, he put you away in frozen chambers, to sustain your life. You've been 'dead' for three hundred years. Now you're awake and a bit sore I'd imagine. But, I'm currently powering this entire station and my body is weak. I'm keeping the station alive and in return it's sustaining me as well. I understand this is a lot to take in. Please- "
Haru heard the security drones approaching her from behind. Her face contorted into a scowl over the holoscreen the sinners could see a dozen or so flying robot-like things coming in fast toward the girl. She looked at the bots and stuck out her tongue before turning back to the camera.
"Please. Come save me. I reside in the forbidden levels. LB4. That's the name of my containment floor. You'll need the access key. You can only get it from Maestro. . . I know it's a lot, but if you can get me out of here. . . We can go back home. I can visit you all in this form. But- DAMN!" Haru's image disappeared from view as a bot slammed into the panel before her. Her spiritual visage vanished.
Deep in the heart of Rengoku, the girl's eyes opened once more.
It's all up to them for now.
