"Ahh--ATCHOO!" Even at breakfast, Momo was still sneezing and her mother was growing concerned. "Momo dear, did you.. catch a cold?" Momo sniffled, shaking her head slowly as she continued to poke at her food. "No.. I." She paused, head turning away slightly in shame. "I think I might have cried too much yesterday and it well yeah... blocked my nose pretty good." "Oh, well... you take it easy okay? It's not easy losing a childhood friend.." Her mother tried to reassure her but Momo reacted by standing up abruptly, both hands on the table. "I'm not hungry.." Mrs Yakamoto frowned. "You think you could've treated that boy better don't you? Honey you shouldn't regret anything, you didn't do anything wrong--" She stopped trying to reassure when she realised her words were doing more harm than good at the sight of her daughter's eyes. Momo's expression was full of guilt. "I'll.. I'll save the rest of breakfast for later then. You should go out and meet your friends maybe." Momo removed her hands from the table and nodded. "Yeah... okay.."
What am I doing... Momo was taking shelter outside a convenience store shivering and soaked. She had walked out of her house somehow without noticing it was raining until it rained harder. "Atchoo! Now.. I'm definitely going to catch a cold after this." Sniffling, she stared inside the convenience store from the outside considering walking in to buy one or some of their steamed pork buns but she was a little intimidated by the guy behind the cashier who looked like a menacing biker gang sort of brute. Why do they hire guys like that... he's got the face of a demon! Her eyes wandered from the buns to the rest of the street, trying to figure out whether to stop and eat or leave for some place more warm and inviting. Quite the dilemma. Her stomach growled from her refusal of breakfast.
