So neither had she seen anything. Toshiro considered saying something, but instead watched as she rewrote a small part on the whiteboard. Correcting it? Toshiro didn't try to check her correction; following along with the equations in class was hard enough.
And just like that, with a few words, she was off. "I'll be careful," he muttered, more to himself than to her, and he watched her leave. He stood there for a bit, glanced around the room. Nobody was looking. He concentrated, lifted himself ever so slightly off the ground, just enough that he could feel his feet floating in air. He lowered himself slowly back down to the floor. Felt good to stretch it out, if only a little bit. He didn't get a chance to use it outside of the supernatural shelters. Most places in Japan it would frighten people who didn't understand those kinds of powers. Here, it would be safe, nominally, at least. Probably still frowned upon, though. He'd have to find a secluded place to practice his hoverskating during the investigation. Didn't want to get out of practice, and it could come in handy at some point.

Of course, he hadn't counted on being preoccupied with wondering what Kyousuke was up to. He supposed that he wouldn't see him much considering he'd be a senior, and Toshiro a sophomore. Still, it seemed weird he hadn't even noticed him anywhere.
