Thea
Rycroft
Thea and Aryn had not spoken much since they arrived at the garden. Only a few comments here and there about the weather outside and the plants that surrounded them were spoken, but nothing of real interest. Aryn had wanted to ask about how Thea was doing, adjusting to the new environment, but he already could guess what her answer would be. "I hate it here! It's no better than the last place!"
He looked over to her now. She was beginning to doze off, her head tilting slightly forward and her eyes starting to close. Aryn chuckled to himself. He reached over, taking Thea by the shoulders and made her rest her head on his lap. She glanced up at him, a questioning look on her face. "Are you tired? Have you been getting enough sleep?" He knew the answer even before she shook her head. "Ah, alright. Rest here for now. I'll wake you up after a while." With a little smile, she closed her eyes and drifted off.
Not long after, Thea had fallen asleep. Aryn then heard two voices in the distance. He didn't know if the voices were getting closer or not, but he could tell that one of the voices belonged to Prince Slaine. Though he did not move, continuing un-braid and run his fingers through his master's hair. He was not so much eavesdropping on their conversation, until he heard something, or well someone of interest, mentioned. The princess? Are they talking about Thea? He gazed down at her, feeling a bit unsteady.
Aryn gently moved Thea off his lap, so he would not wake her, and placed her head down on the grass. He got up, looking around. No one was there. Had his enhanced hearing picked up their voices from someplace else? Although, they must be in the garden somewhere. Not really liking the idea, he left Thea asleep on the grass to search the garden for the two voices. But not a moment later did they stop, he still tried to look for at least Slaine.
