"Come on, I'll get you boys some food."Sophie felt her emotions flare slightly at her friend's tone, the way she shook her head and chuckled, as though it was Sophie that was reacting idiotically to the entire debacle. She could only stare, aghast, as Calypso led the three.. --no, she would not call them 'genies'..-- erm.... gentlemen downstairs, mouth dropping even more as she heard the beginning of her friend's next sentence, before the distance cut her off.
"Sorry about my friends, they're usua-"
Sophie turned back to Harmoni, the disbelief clearly etched into her fair face. "She's mad. Completely mad."
Turning back to the staircase, she hesitated a moment, before sighing in frustration and following Calypso to the kitchen. "Is fruit a possibility?" She overheard the tall one, Evander, say. On the end of her rope, she stormed over to the fruit bowl, picked it up, and placed... --well, more like slammed-- it down in front of the genie. "Take your pick. We've got apples, pears, mandarins, bananas, apricots, peaches, pineapple, cherries..." Her irritated and fretful side was beginning to shine, and she didn't hold back as she placed each piece of suggested fruit onto the kitchen tabletop with slightly more force than necessary. The next moment, her voice was dripping with stressed and anxious sarcasm, and her words betrayed her disbelief, as she fired them out rapidly.
"In fact, you know what? I'll chop you guys up a fruit salad. After all, that's what normal people do when random guys magically show up in attics. Oh, wait, no." She shot a not-so-subtle hinting glance at Calypso. "They call the police."
