Despite the nightmare, the memory, Toru's eyes opened gently. He had grown used to it and learned to overcome the terrors. Also every time he did jolt awake, Cocoa would be flung off the bed, which lead to much hatred from him. Of course as soon as Toru shifted under the covers, Cocoa let out his annoying call for food, making it so Toru had to get up even if he had an extra twenty minutes to nap. "Yes I get it buddy. I'm up." His voice was groggy as it always was in the mornings.
Being without parents at home, Toru had to be rather independent, doing everything for himself in the mornings. As if his mother ever did anything anyway. After feeding Cocoa he started up a pot of coffee on the new machine he purchased yesterday. Toru was rather lucky, for his job gave hefty paychecks. He was his own boss, and he had made quite a name for himself over the internet. Computer coding was rather difficult work and not many people were as perfect at the job as he was. Not to mention how low is prices were compared to others. It really worked out as it didn't matter how low his prices were, he definitely made more than the people with higher ones.
Whilst enjoying a hot cup of joe, Toru searched his closet for some appropriate attire. Settling for a plain purple tee and jeans, he set down his mug, took his clothes to the restroom and hopped in the shower. He showered every day, not because he needed to, but any moment he could get in the water was bliss to him. Once done with his shower he changed, brushed his teeth, and completed other arduous tasks to get ready. He returned to the kitchen where he could have some grub and make a lunch for his first day. He could go off campus with his car if he so chose, but he had a lot of groceries he had to power through.
Toru grabbed his backpack and looked around for Cocoa to say goodbye. The cat strolled over and meowed cutely as if it was his way of saying 'farewell, have a good day at school.' Toru smiled as he picked up the little feline and kissed his head. With that he head out to the apartment complex parking lot and found his GT. Yes a ridiculous car for a teenager to have. Because Toru decided he wasn't attending college, he put all his college savings from his grandparents, plus way too many paychecks, towards the beauty. He truly loved cars.
Once he began driving Toru turned on the radio. Eventually he found a station playing some EDM and left it there. His taste in music fit him rather well. At one point he passed the school bus, as he tended to due to the fact he went over the speed limit frequently. Still he has yet to receive a ticket. Just his luck. In his head he debated whether he should continue with his routine, which was leave a copy of himself in class while he worked in the computer lab. It was odd but no one seemed to notice. All the teachers and students assumed he was just a quiet guy who had no reason to answer questions or do work for that matter. Finally he decided against it as it was indeed his last year and he should try to make some friends before he loses the chance to.
After arriving to school, he parked his car in the most secluded section of the school parking lot. He had five minutes or so to make it to homeroom on time, so he rushed over. Even after three years already attending this school, he had zero friends. He didn't even recognize anyone at school still. Since it was his last year, he figured he would take some time to get to know everyone, mostly because he had nothing better to do. Looking around the classroom, Toru truly recognized no one. But one particular face caught his eye. It was a girl. A girl he felt he knew instantly as he looked at her. He was unaware of who she was, but she was absolutely gorgeous. She sat in the middle of the class and so did he now. He chose the seat to the left of her, but he failed to say anything as it was beyond his power. So he just sat there in his desk, tapping his fingers, taking quick little glances at her every time she looked away.
