James woke up on a sandy island in the middle of nowhere.
"What the fuck happened? Where is everyone?" Suddenly, it hit him. "Face your ends with dignity."
Ah. That explained it. But how did he end up here? Did Gehenna's attack on their ship tear a hole in time and space and cause a wormhole to appear? Looking around, and seeing no one else around, James realized that it was over. There was no way he was going to ever leave. Sighing, he removed his helmet and unholstered his pistol, staring off into the sunset, he aimed the barrel to the side of his head and fired a single shot. Blowing chunks of brain, skull and flesh onto the sandy ground below him. James collapsed ungracefully to the ground, twitched for a few minutes and then lay still forever more.
