Castiel couldn't help but to smile at her reactions. He took another sip of his wine and set the glass down. "Well, let's find out" he said as he got to his feet and walked over to the TV stand. He grabbed the stereo remote and pressed play, almost laughing when Elton John came flowing through the speakers. "My relatives are kind of old school" he explained. He set the remote down and walked over to her. He held out his hand and offered her a soft smile. "Would you do me the honors?" he said quietly. The previous conflicting thoughts had mow vanished completely. All Castiel could think about was dancing with Abigail and watching the soft pink shade remain on her cheeks. For the moment, he wasn't a god, he was just…Castiel.
Aidan listened to Cordelia's optimistic comments and he nodded with a smile, hoping it was true. "You're right. They seem to like each other…or at least Ro does" he chuckled, hoping his friend wouldn't have to face any heart ache. Then Cordelia mentioned how she would never reject him and he couldn't help but feel a bit of fear and sadness. That girl, his first love, had promised that she would never leave him. He pushed the thoughts aside for the moment and turned to her. "Well would you like to dance again?" he asked politely. "We never got to finish". He held a hand out for her, hoping he wouldn't get rejected. For some reason this beautiful being wanted to spend more time with him, and he wanted to spend every moment with her.
Their eyes met for a few short seconds and all of a sudden, strong arms were wrapped around him and held him tightly. It took every ounce of strength in Leon's body to keep from breaking down in tears. He felt so warm and safe in his embrace. It almost felt too wonderful, too perfect. Leon was afraid to accept it and have it be torn away immediately after. He stood there trembling, not moving, barely breathing, for several seconds. Roman's voice was like a lullaby. It slowly calmed his nerves inside and out. The trembling slowly came to a stop and he let out a shirt, shaky breath before slowly wrapping his arms around him in return. He gently gripped onto the back of Roman's shirt and buried his face in the man's shoulder. He would have given anything in his possession to be able to stay in his arms forever, forgetting about everything and everyone. He wanted to ask if he could stay a little longer, but something told him it wouldn't be a good idea.
