The vampire sat again a large ornate chair as he looked upon the weeping face of the dead man who dare lay a hand on his light. His men got to him, but he did not know the horrors to come.
"Look, m-man, I'm sorry, I won't touch her, I swear, I'll go, I swear I'll go..." the man pleaded pitifully but the vampire did not understand mercy, he only knew blood, pain, vengeance.
"You will go....to hell..."
The vampire was on him, large sharp fangs ripped and tore in to flesh, the vampire didn't just drink, he chewed and swallowed, devouring the man as he cried out, his cries echoing in the warehouse yet no one dared entered the room lest this wished to be apart of this hellacious feast.
A heap of bloody bone lay where the man had been, and Schuyler left him there, his rage gone, and no only thing left was pain, regret and sadness.
He held her in his arms, tasted her lips once more, it was like the gods smiled on him, but then remembered who and what he was, and turned away again.
She had to forget him, but he could never forget her.
He held her as she died, three times, he held her, watched the light leave her eyes. This was his punishment for all the lives he took.
He moved to the desk nearest the wall, away from the remains.
"I DIDN'T WANT THIS!" He screamed to the gods, flipping the table up over end. "I DIDN'T WANT ANY OF THIS!" He boomed, ink black tears welling up in his eyes.
Why bring her back, just to kill her again. Why give her memories, clues to her life. She didn't deserve this, perhaps he did, but she was innocent, she was always so innocent.
They way she smiled him as Jezebel the kind girl who saw a weak man in the woods, to offered her blood and he took more then he should have, the quick witted Lady Adelaide would would not take no for an answer, the selfless Artemis, to defended him to the end.
He raked his hands over his face, dug his nails into his own skull and roared in frustration and rage, before it all turned to sadness again.
"Stay away from me, Please, Sweetling, Just stay away." He pleaded but he knew she wouldn't.
She promised with her dying breath.
"I love you Schuyler and I always will..."
