Some things throughout the years, would always remain the same. In spite of the world changing around them, and evolving as a society, others were stagnant as if stuck in time. Perhaps, it is due to their own beliefs, or maybe due to the beliefs of few around them. Many human beings, lacked the ability to accept change, and often those same human beings, were afraid of what were to lie ahead, should they choose to look outside of themselves to experience what the world really had to offer. What the individuals around them could offer, if they took the time to understand. But such things could never be expected from human beings, because they were afraid of what they could not understand, what they could not control.

The room around her looked nearly lifeless. It lacked any kind of personal touches, or even signs of life having inhabited it. If one were to look around, they would notice that everything was organized to perfection, almost obsessively so. Seraphiel walked over to the window, briefly immersing herself in the rays of the sun shining down on her. Okay well, enough of that. She quickly closed the blinds and walked over to the door, turning to glance around the room just to make sure nothing was out of place or forgotten. Soon after, she walked out the door, sure to lock it behind her.

Though she hadn't been back to Ivalice for quite some time, everything felt familiar to her. Too familiar in fact, that walking the streets was enough to spark recollections of every moment of her young life here. It was because of her history, that she'd been staying out of the public eye for the brief amount of time she had been here. She didn't come back to cause trouble, her reason for returning had nothing to do with herself, and nothing to with the town. I'm really looking forward to meeting your partner, it's about time you spent time with someone other than Remi and Kai. Seraphiel gave a half hearted smile at the voice in the back of her head. She innocent soul she'd entrapped in the back of her mind. Her own sister. Seraphiel always had a history for bringing the wrath of hell upon this town, quite literally. But this was different, though it was something she accepted, and decided to immerse in her own life goals.

"I can't come back for your again, we have to go now."
"But we can't go yet, I want to say goodbye to my friends!"

"Aurora please you have to jump!"
"I'm not going to leave you, they'll kill you!"

And time stopped as the image of that which was held most dear sacrificed itself....

"AURORA!!!!"
"I...I'm scared to d-d..."

She struggled to find the line between selfishness and it's wishes
They grew closer, their voices resounding, ringing in her ears
And then everything else vanished

"I'm going to carry you"
"No..please..."

But it's heartbeat was fading, and it's body grew cold

That was not your fault. She said, her voice calm and nurturing. Seraphiel began to process the road ahead of her once more. Her sister had as much access to her mind as she did, however, she was the only one that was in control of it. She headed down the merchant's isle, passing a somewhat familiar face from the guild. It was one of the younger members, and another new one from what she had gathered. She had always thought him to be a sheltered individual, he had a very dangerously optimistic outlook on everything, and seemed to radiate the kind of innocence that is only present in a child - or someone that has not experienced the world yet. She smiled at the boy as she passed, and was immediately bombarded with so called deals from the merchants, an array of their merchandise being yelled at her. She chose to completely ignore all of them, and instead was focused on making her way to the tournament, without an angry mob of some kind in tow.

Unfortunately for Seraphiel she always stood out wherever she went. Her black hair was highlighted with an assortment of colors, purple and blue in the front, blonde in the back. Her whole body was covered in tattoos, although it was a more of her own magic branding her in some way, as those markings made their appearance on that day. What some people confused to be two triangular buns, were instead her horns, that she wrapped her blonde pieces of her hair around like a fashion accessory. She had one too many ear piercings, all of them rather large, and several facial piercings. Her skin pale enough to make anyone believe she never saw daylight, and her accessories were always mismatched. She had one stripped arm warmer on her right arm, which was purple, one thigh high blue sock, and one knee high purple sock. On her left arm she had several thick studded bracelets, that looked like they could be used as weapons. And if that didn't make her look odd to people, she was wearing a short-yet flowing white dress to top of missed matched attire.

I saw that, you have a soft spot for that boy don't you? I think you are confusing genuine concern. You forgot to mention who he reminds me of, I'm sure you picked that up. The voice paused for a moment, It's okay to make friends, I want you to be happy. Seraphiel pushed several merchants away from her, as they tried to shove their merchandise in her face. "I'm not interested in buying anything, please let me through." One man turned to her, clenching his jaw and his eyes narrowed. "You should be offended, your wares are probably the worst crafted I have ever seen." She titled her head a bit and looked him over, raggedy clothes, defensive posture, physically fit but not enough to be someone that undergoes any training. Aggression clearly being held back, or possibly not held back, but something off about him. "You don't actually make these do you, you just sell them. Furthermore, you're nothing but a thief, you don't even deserve to be among the people that actually make a living creating and selling their merchandise."

Before he was able to swing at her, several people walked by her at once, causing her to trip, and her blonde locks unraveling from her horns. "What the hell are you?" the man's attitude completely changed, and instead, he was afraid. "Growing impatient, get out of my way." Seraphiel continued to push her way through the merchants, she didn't need to make a spectacle before she got to the tournament. Behind her, she heard several whispers between the merchants, people were really so simple sometimes, it was almost depressing. Seraphiel had joined the guild rather abruptly, ever since her sister was locked away within her, she felt her need to be part of something. Her desire to have been part of a guild, and her wishes that her sister would join on instead and make friends. Seraphiel had always had two people she considered friends - and one was a weapon. People's real intentions always showed when it was too late. Almost everyone had an ulterior motive for everything, and most people would put themselves before others. She was not going to bother with such people.

Before her journey here, Seraphiel had been a part of a mercenary guild, the guild in which her best friend and mentor had been a part of since he was young. She took great pride in bringing the wrath of hell upon those that felt they were above the system, that rules and morals did not apply to them. The magic council couldn't be everywhere, in fact it didn't want to be everywhere. There were many things that people turned a blind eye too, and there were too many people slipping through the cracks. The whole guild was not accepted as an official guild, and usually threatened whenever found that they would be arrested should they try and continue to bring justice in their own hands. But if people backed down and quit everytime they we're told they couldn't do something, this world would be a truly terrible place.

As she continued through the streets, she heard the voices of spirits around her. They hissed and shouted at her, called her a monster, told her to leave. She chose to ignore them, figuring it was restless spirits from the town that she perhaps killed as a child. She had no pity for them, lingering between heaven and hell due to their feelings. Most people with similar deaths linger before passing on, though how long depends on the outside circumstances and each spirit individually. They seemed to still be the monsters they were on that very day, "You don't even deserve to pass on, drown in your own misery for eternity." Seraphiel noticed Onyx out of the corner of her eye, being dragged by one of his summons. Her expression softened at the sight, she watched the girl pull him and shout something about a cafe. That was something new, she didn't remember a cafe in the area.

"Miss, miss can you-" Seraphiel stepped on top of a rolling ball, that looked something like a volleyball, though very aged. She kicked it up and caught it with her right hand, grinning and walking over to the little boy. He looke to be around the age of seven or eight. She kneeled in front of the boy to look him in the eyes as she spoke, "Here you go, try no to cause too much trouble." She smiled and went to and him the ball, only to have it smacked out of her hands as she did so. "Don't touch it!" The woman shouted, pushing her boy to the side, another child in her arms. "It's true, the stories are true!" Seraphiel stood up and placed the ball to the side and started to walk away. "You're a monster! How dare you come back here! Don't ever come near my children again!" Are you okay? Seraphiel was actually surprised that this hadn't happened sooner, the town had so desperately tried to cover up her existence and the incident with her sister - or versions of it, but they could not put to rest the stories and rumors that always managed to be spread one way or another.

"Well the tournament should be interesting at least." she said. Seraphiel loved anything that had to do with competitions, anything to do with fighting - for the right cause. She was competitive by nature, however, she had her reservations about this tournament. While she didn't think it was smart she be included, she thirsted for it. Several people started following her, shouting at her, a few throwing stuff at her trying to force a reaction out of her. She was determined not to use any of her magic in front of her fellow competitors, however... Seraphiel turned around, her expression was almost distorted, genuinely menacing. "Come any closer to me and I will kill you. All of you, even your children." she put her hand out, and a few people jumped, whereas others ran. Anyone else, froze in place, as if trying to consider whether what she was threatening was even possible. I don't think this is necessary "Well, I'll make it to the competition now, this should be fun."
