Hitoshi stared out the window next to him, barely moving an inch when he felt Mikaze sit beside him. What the hell was with this shit? Why was his face all hot? Why did he feel so comfortably uncomfortable? All of it was annoying him.

After a couple of minutes he decided that he wasn't going to ignore his best friend. Looking up, he frowned and pretended the blush wasn't there. "Question: what do we do now that we're paired together romantically?" He asked, hoping the sarcasm wasn't obvious. "Because I have no idea how this is supposed to work out."

He wasn't lying, he didn't know anything about romance. He hadn't even expected someone to be paired with him, he'd assumed his test would be faulty and he'd get kicked out. He didn't know anything at all about romance or even liking someone.

So, right now, Hitoshi was completely clueless to his own feelings and the feelings of everyone around him. "So...what are we supposed to do at the beach for a month? They didn't really tell us anything except where the damn house is..."

"...I think signing up for this Matchmaker program was a bad idea from the start..."

Hitoshi sighed loudly and leaned back in his seat, staring at the ceiling of the bus for a moment before smirking slightly. "Well, at least I got put with someone I know. I don't think I'd be able to put up with this shit for a month if I didn't have you here."

He could feel his face get hot again and he ignored it. It wasn't a lie, he wouldn't have even signed up in the first place if Mikaze hadn't volunteered to join him.

'I hope it's okay that I'm sitting next to you, I can move."

Umiko registered that Zico had sat beside her and she moved her suitcase under the seat, so as to make more room, before looking back up at him and smiling wide. "No, please! I don't mind~" She actually felt better with someone next to her, spending the entire trip by herself would have been boring in the extremes.

Reaching over to her side bag, Umi pulled out a box of green tea-flavored Pocky and started to gnaw on one. "Would you like any? Its an odd flavor, but its not bad or anything." She turned the box in his direction and continued slowly gnawing on the one she had in her mouth. "It'd be a longer long trip without any snacks~"

Looking back behind her, she could tell that the two other boys - Hitoshi and Mikaze, if her memory wasn't broken - weren't talking, or even looking at each other for that matter. She hoped that their obvious friendship hadn't been ruined.

Umi turned back to Zico and sighed lightly. She wasn't uncomfortable, nor was she embarrassed, and she wondered why. Why was he the one blushing and not her? After all, wasn't it always the girl who got pink blushies in TV shows? Her thoughts were scrambled around and she just about forgot Zico was beside her.

"Well, I guess if we're going to be partners for a month, maybe we should learn a bit about each other. After all, we have about an hour before we get to the beach."

Umi smiled again, this time more enthusiastic. She was excited to learn about this boy who sat beside her, and she was excited to learn more about herself as well.
