How someone could worry about their outfits when they were going to be pregnant was beyond him. Surely only Amelia would think of such things and not other pregnant women as well. Then again, Jax was always being surprised. "Some sweatpants would suit you fine. They're comfortable, warm, and you could even use some of mine so that you don't have to go out and buy your own!" He thought it was a kind gesture, but as soon as the words were coming out of his mouth, he realized his fault. For Amelia, so tiny and slim, to fit into his bottoms would mean for her to get considerable larger. And he didn't want her to think that. "Sorry," he amended.
As she snuggled closer to him, he inhaled the scent of her. A light floral smell. So calming and so Amelia. For a brief moment he wondered what it would be like to not be with her. To be alone or with another women. For Amelia to be with someone else. Their child raised in two homes. It was a common occurrence, but Jax didn't want that for any of is children. Holidays would be so complicated and if other children were brought into it, it made his head spin.
"It is getting late. You and speck should head off to bed. Don't want to be groggy for work." He managed a weak smile. He himself was extremely exhausted and he was afraid that if her didn't get to bed soon, he'd fall asleep on the sofa and wake up with sore back. Pulling away from Amelia he raised from his seat on the sofa and started to the room. Jax was unsure of whether she's be comfortable with him and her in bed together but at this point, he was too tired to give much concern and thought to it. Sleep was the only thing that mattered.
Slipping into a simple white tee and his boxers, he climbed into bed. He'd never been so anxious and aware of himself in a long while. And all he was doing was going to bed with his pregnant girlfriend, albeit the recent 'scandal'. But before he knew it, he was dosing off into a deep slumber and wouldn't wake up for anything expect his alarm clock.
