Jason felt kind of bad about sneaking up on Callum from the sheer look of panic the boy had, but he seemed alright now. Jason kind of kept an eye on him until Reagan decided to pop up, at which he gave up looking over. He made a point of avoided that girl.

Abbie said she hadn't been there long, which was good. He felt a little bit less like an ass then. There was the possibility she was lying, but that only meant she didn't want him to feel bad. Jason grinned at the thought, wrapping his arm around her as she leaned closer. "How was your day?" Jason blinked, not because he couldn't remember or anything, but because he suddenly remembered that a few key parts of what he did that day wasn't exactly good. Well, maybe it was good, but it was still a shitty thing to do. He suddenly felt guilty, having his arm around her like that. What was he doing? But instead of showing any hint of guilt Jason just let an easy smile appear on his face, shrugging at the question.

"Not much. Went to grab some dinner earlier and lost track of time." Well, it wasn't technically a lie. "How about you, anything interesting?" he asked, trying not to seem tense. He had to tell the guy to fuck off next time he saw him, he couldn't keep this lying thing up. Actually, he could keep the lying thing up if he wanted to, and that was part of the problem. The longer it went on the more used to lying to Abbie he was getting. And the less rushed he felt to fix things.
