As expected, once his parents found out, they were not too happy. In fact, it was obvious to know that a grounding would be in order as well as a apology to the Queen herself. He did as he was told and did so. He didn't see what he had done wrong but thankfully he got away with only a few spankings and a grounding. As the party began to die down and many began to leave, Eugene gathered his things and prepared to enter the boat until they were approached by a guard.
"Your highness! The ship! Bandits raided and destroyed it completely and now we have no idea where they have gone! You all may be in danger. Please stay until we catch these criminals."
Eugene's father was not very happy with knowing that his ship had been compromised and that he had unknowingly taken such a threat to a friendly kingdom. He turned to Eugene's mother and began to talk with her. Eugene glared angrily. Bandits were quite common in the desert lands but to think they had the nerve to travel to another place aboard their ship and cause havoc! This couldn't be happening. His mother turned to him and kneeled slightly.
"Eugene your father is going to talk to the Queen and get all the guards as well as our guards to search for the bandits. He may will have to go and fend off. The Queen may as well. I will go and assist with getting people to safety. Do you think you can be a good boy and stay inside the Queen's palace until I call for you?"
Eugene pouted angrily. "But I wanna fight too! Dad said that I'm getting stronger and stronger! I may not have a weapon but... Bandits are bandits! And their gonna hurt everybody if we don't stop them!"
She smiled. "Eugene I know you are strong but you have to know when it is time to fight and when it is time to protect. And now, your just to keep those important safe. Understand?"

Eugene blinked blankly and nodded giving a serious look before running back into the palace. He sighed and stumbled around. Everyone had run seemed to have gotten out safely. Was it only the King and Queen's family left now. He paused seeing the door yet again. He wondered if the girl even had any idea of what was happening. He took a deep breath and began to approach it before stopping. He probably wasn't allowed inside. Well, that's just inside. He turned and leaned against the door. No guards were here so he decided to guard it himself. He knocked lightly and faced forward looking around as if he were indeed a real guard.
