Everything she said seemed to phase right through him.Her words made him feel as if he HAD to prove her wrong. He smiled and gripped his fists slightly. It was true, he couldn't save everyone. It was nearly impossible; especially with bandits around so freely. However, just because he knew he couldn't, didn't mean he couldn't try. Even if that meant getting hurt himself. Even if that meant risking his life, he wouldn't mind it. It was in his nature and he couldn't just sit idle knowing that people were in danger. He snickered slightly while hearing her.
"Ye. You may be right."
He then began to take a few steps forward and fold his arms.
"Sure I may be a idiot. And sure I could probably get hurt and maybe die and probably lose a arm or a leg. I know I can't save everyone and I know I can't keep everyone alive. But you know what... That's all ok." He turned his head to her and smiled. "A real king doesn't sit around worrying about himself. A real king stands strong on the battlefield along with those who risk their lives for him. It's only fair."
He then began to turn towards the hallway hearing the footsteps approaching. He smirked and began to walk towards it.
"Meh. I guess~ if won't forsake you. Didn't really keep me out now did it?" He said with a small laugh. "You stay in there. I'll try and lure them away."
He then began to run towards the corridor and pass them completely.
"Hey! Get that kid!"
Just as expected, the bandits began to chase him instead of heading down the hallway of the chamber. Eugene smiled and hummed as he began to run. The first part of his plan worked! They weren't going to get new the chamber. Now the hardest part was only to stay alive.
