Standing in front of the café's entrance, Mikaze stopped for a moment to quickly gather his thoughts. He's known Hitoshi long enough to almost be completely certain that his best friend wouldn't be much of someone who would take the initiative, no matter how bold and fearless he might be. But the fact that he's just asked Mikaze out like that really did surprise him. I'd never have thought... He said to himself. But what's even stranger is that he... actually find this to be quite pleasant.
When Hitoshi has caught up with him, both of them entered the café. And of course, the very moment he entered, he was astonished by all the cats around the store. His soft spot for cute things began to rise up once again, but he snapped out of it and went to a table nearby along with Hitoshi. It's not like that he's never been to a cat café before, but you know, for someone who always fall for cutie little things like Mikaze, this is the heaven.
While his best friend ordered only a cup of water, Mikaze asked for a cup of cappuccino. It's been a while since he last had some caffeine so it's nice to drink a cup of it. And both of them fell into an awkward silence once again, until Hitoshi spoke up and asked. And it feels like Mikaze could only feel more and more embarrassing every minute. But it's naturally for his best friend to ask so, since as long as he remembered, Hitoshi has never taken a real serious liking towards anyone. And most of the time the one he'd hang out around the most is probably Mikaze himself.
Shaking his head, Mikaze looked up to his best friend, "Well, aren't we dating right now? Like... don't you think that all the stuffs we do when there are only two of us are pretty much like a dating couple already? I mean, back then all I did with my ex are exactly like what we always do..."
Suddenly, a small, white cat jumped up and sat itself down on Mikaze's lap. Smiling a little while petting the little kitten, Mikaze set focused his gaze onto the little fur ball, but he still listened to what Hitoshi got to say, "Yeah, I know. But there's a lot of people out there who are constantly complaining why are they 'forever alone' or something like that so I didn't think you're alone. But... we both can figure something out, right?" Mikaze looked up and tried to smile.
He didn't notice that they're slowly becoming the center of attention in the café.
