With a slight eye roll, as she didn't have any intentions of leaving the apartment today, she walked back into her room and grabbed her cell phone and shot a text towards Alyssa. She then sat her phone down after sending the message and slipping in nothing more than a t-shirt and a pair of sweat pants with sandals. Usual off of work and out of school wear for her.
From: Sydney
Hey, girl! How's work? ;) I am going grocery shopping, let me know if you need anything. Okay?
She grabbed her small hand purse then exited the apartment and walked down the stairs before making it to her vehicle then got inside of it. She turned the engine then cranked up the radio, singing along to whatever was playing. Lucky for her, the grocery store wasn't that far from their apartment. She found the perfect parking space, one closer to the door then got out and grabbed herself a buggy and marched up and down the aisles.
Sydney continuously checked her phone to see if Alyssa had texted her back or not as if she didn't do so soon, she was going to be out of luck on groceries this week. A soft laugh escaped over her lips at the thought as she couldn't do that to her newfound friend. She continued to wander down the aisles, eventually bumping her cart into someone else's. Sydney eyes widened as she didn't even look the other person in the face though stammered through her words. "Oh, I am so sorry. I wasn't paying attention to where I was going and I'm sorry." She eyed him briefly before walking off and going to the other aisle, leaning her back and head against the shelves with a sigh.
Isiah jumped in his vehicle and headed down the street towards the local cafe, which was called Berkley Cafรจ. He tried to hurry there before the lunch rush started but got there as it was building up. 'Shit.' He cursed in his mind then waited in line as he looked at the female taking orders then looked away towards the outside. His eyes flashed towards her again as he was finally next in line but she wasn't his cashier. "Uhm, let me get a turkey sandwich on wheat bread and a small tea, please." The cashier told him his total then handed her the right amount of change then sat at the counter.
The cashier brought over his lunch and told him to enjoy as the rush was soon over and the other cashier, the one he had his eye on was leaning on the counter. "Busy day, huh?" He asked then bit into his sandwich, a small trail of mayonnaise edging at the corner of his lips though he still smiled. Isiah wondered if the female behind the counter with the black fingernails was going to talk to him as he didn't want to make a complete fool out of himself.
