His head tilted as the stranger spoke, a warming voice left her lips and Chris began to scan her over. Her hair was long and a dark colour, Chris's hand went up to his own hair feeling the the short strands. Tapping his head a few times he hummed to himself, his eyes scanned down her body she was wearing a dark version of what he was wearing but hers looked better. He stroked the gown with his fingertips and was distracted by his hand for a moment he hadn't really seen his hand before. He moved his fingers as best he could, it hurt a lot especially when he clenched his fist. This hand wasn't as bad as his damaged one, humming again he put the bandaged hand in his mouth planning to suck on it as a form of comfort. Gagging at the taste of the bandages he shook his head tapping his head again.
At their point the stranger had stopped talking, most of what she had said had gone completely over Chris's head, he had no idea what she was saying. He was never allowed to speak at home so he never really learnt, angry words were said to him and incoherent shouts as he was hit over and over again.
Shivering he shook his head bringing his knees up to his chest his face wincing in pain. He looked over to the stranger at the door shaking his head again he rocked back and forth slowly looking at her carefully avoiding eye contact, eye contact was bad. Very bad.
