Durandel followed Nova as they begun to enter Arlyne territory. It wasn't really long at all since they last been here. If they wind up being caught again, the Arlyne would most likely have no tolerance for them. Not to mention they can't expect to rely on Alina helping them out again. It would be best if they can pass through without drawing attention to themselves. At least Nova had a good sense as to WHERE they should be crossing. Otherwise if he led them he would have bumbled their way into another capture. This would be the first time he ever crossed into the Dimitrios territory if they managed to make it. He hoped he was making the right call to hide out in the Cliffs. After all he was pretty sure the Dimitrios would flog him in the streets if they found him. For the longest time the Tenneth and Dimitrios have seen themselves as rivals.

Even before the Great War, there have been documented cases of the many times the Tenneth and Dimitrios have quarreled. Mainly over territories and big egos. Both packs are considered the largest in terms of population and territory, the Super Packs if you will. Yet our egos will not allow one pack or the other to become the dominant pack of all Nigerius. The Tenneth are too hotheaded and the Dimitrios are too stubborn to ever consider making peace with one another. Then this war broke out and it was the very thing both packs needed to finally put their longstanding feud to rest...except neither side believed the end would be this bloody. Even despite the losses we cannot seem to swallow our pride and allow this war to end, not until one of us becomes the victor. Now this war is not only blowing up but it's about to boil over.

Before the rise of Prometheus, the Ausi-Dimitrios Alliance has lead to an imbalance in the face of this war. They have been killing every Alva they've come across and not too long ago the Tenneth met with an envoy from the Pack of Fear and Death. We never would have thought the Alva would consider an alliance but apparently their current Alpha, Oakleaf is more sensible than past Alphas. He knew that the Tenneth have added the Ausi to their list of foes and believed that we would want to tip the scales in our favor. Normally we wouldn't have wanted such an alliance but our pride would not allow the Dimitrios to gain the upper hand. Talks have been in the works but Ezra has warned against it. Not that he doesn't trust the Alva but rather feared the consequences of making such a pact. No doubt the Tenneth would move to assault the Ausi and Dimitrios with their Alvan allies in tow. It would be a bloodbath.

Then word got out about the Avira possibly forging an alliance with the Ausi and Dimitrios in response to our failed attempts of conquering Era. What a costly move on our part. Our Alpha was obviously nervous over the thought of three large packs banning together to destroy them. Now with Prometheus's attacks on the Ausi, it's beginning to look like the Alpha will make that alliance in order to bolster our ranks. No doubt he would want the Alvas enlisted within Prometheus's ranks. If that were to happen, there is no telling how much death and destruction he could cause if he had the Alva's abilities at his disposal. Luckily the Avira take a long time in delegating over any action, but we don't. Durandel was lost in thought as well, he left on his current mission before he heard the Alpha make a final decision on the matter. Thanks to him and Ezra, they at least made the Alpha hesitant in forming an alliance, but now that he's been declared a traitor...Ezra alone cannot sway the Council's future decisions. It was then Durandel snapped back to the present as Nova gave them a warning before he entered the river. Durandel nodded as he cautiously began crossing the water.
