The siblings had a hard year, after they left the camp they had to find a hide out for they were still on the run. Luckily they had met a man who offered them a temporary way out, he changed their identities and gave them a clean slate, but it wouldn't last long. Throughout the year they got jobs and helped those in need. The previous year at the camp had taught them a few skills to help protect civilians from danger. They earned money through anonymous tips that lead them to numerous villains. The duo became well off, but near the end of the year someone caught on and discovered their true identities, they were on the run again. The man that had offered them a way out was found dead in his Manhattan home, so they stayed under the radar and changed their location biweekly.
"Have you planned your welcome back party? Second year at the camp gotta be rowdy, right?" Nate chuckled and nodded "You know it sis, we going to get sloshed tonight!!!" Lily grinned in satisfaction.
After about an hour or so they finally reached their destination, Lily sat up in her seat with excitement as she read the sign at the entrance The Vigilante Village - EST. 1986 the siblings could feel it, they were home. Nate parked the car in the campgrounds parking lot and flung his door open, Lily did the same. They rushed to the trunk of the car and pulled out their suitcases in a hurry, they wanted to get to their cabins. Lily plopped her suitcase on the ground and gave her brother a big hug "We're here! Thank you for driving" Nate nodded "No problem sis, I'll text you the party details later!"
Lily took hold of her suitcase and made her way to her cabin. Cabin 11 the sign read. She walked in, the sight was familiar. She missed the pine smell of the cabin, the log walls and the cozy lounge. She made her way to the chambers half expecting someone to be there already, but it was empty. She claimed a bed and lied down, sighing in relief, feeling free and not on guard for a change.
Nate made his way to the cabin he had stayed in last year. Cabin four the sign read. Nate burst through the door, he was hyper, excited and ready for the "new year". He glanced around and nodded as the memories of last years festivities surfaced. The room had changed little, everything was clean, Nate chuckled as he knew that wouldn't last long. He plopped his suitcase on the wooden flooring and paced around the room, trying to remember something. He spun on his heel and it clicked. He pushed a curtain on the south side of the room and glanced behind it, there were markings, a tally count to be exact, of the amount of parties he threw the previous year. He smiled and accepted his own challenge, there were 22 markings, this year he planned to have at least 30.
Nate made his way back to his suitcase and grabbed it wandering over to the chambers. He squinted his eyes at the dark room and without thought illuminated it. "Shit, sorry bro didn't see you there!" he apologized as he saw Lucian laying on one of the beds. Nate made his way over to a bed, the same one he slept on the previous year, and sat on the edge "I'm Nathan, or Nate" he introduced.
