Hydra snapped out of his thought when Rose corrected him on the name of her sword. Well, at least he was close. "Riiight, Stormweaver," he repeated, not really understanding why gods and demigods liked to name their weapons. They were just weapons. It's not like they birthed them or anything, but whatever.
Rose walked with him down the hall before going and grabbing her sword, asking if Hermes was their next stop. "To Hermes," he confirmed, having mixed feelings about visiting the messenger god. It wasn't like he was particularly annoying or anything, he just was... so not cool. Which was unfortunate, because much like Alepou, Hydra liked the guy. It was just not cool to really show that like for him since, you know, he was kinda lame.
It didn't take them long to get to the mail room where Hermes dwelled, organizing the mail as always, not even noticing that they were there. "Hey, Hermes," Hydra called out, waving a hand in front of the mail god to get his attention. He blinked once before looking up, appearing to be a bit agitated.
"Oh, hello Hydra. Rose," Hermes greeted them politely before looking back down at the mail on the table. "Uh, what can I do for you two today? I'm pretty busy, as usual. Also doesn't help when that Ares comes around... Bastard thinking he's all that..." Hermes started to mumble. Alright, okay, he hates Ares. Noted. Hyrda wasn't really a fan either.
"Uh, heh, um, we'd like to go to Lerna," Hydra explained, feeling a bit awkward and totally ignoring Hermes little breakdown.
Hermes slowly looked up from the mail again, looking at Hydra before glancing at Rose. Hyrda could tell just from looking at the guy that he had concerns about the daughter of Posideon going to a place like Lerna, but he didn't say anything aloud, thank the gods. "Alright, if you're prepared. It's always nice to feel useful, after all. No one really seems to understand the art that is mail."
Hydra let out an awkward little laugh. Yeah, Hermes totally wasn't cool. "Alright man, that's cool. Lets do this," he urged the other man. Hermes seemed a bit offended, but shrugged it off, sighing, and snapping his fingers. After that action was done, a wispy, light purple mass appeared that Hydra knew was Hermes's portal. "Alright, here we go," Hydra said confidently, glancing back at Rose to see if she looked just as ready as him before taking her hand again and stepping through the portal.
His body jolted forward as he closed his eyes, and he felt light headed for a second before hearing the quiet, eerie sounds of Lake Lerna. He opened his eyes and blinked a few times, adjusting to the darker setting. Everything looked the same as it was last time he visited. The distant mountains, the dry land with a few trees poking out here and there, and then the large, almost black looking lake in front of them. He glanced to the right to see the large cave that was the entrance to the Underworld and sighed. Home sweet home?
"So, uh, whaddya think?"
