The damage ran deep though and they had to be extra careful due to Doll's-er-unique disposition. They were in there another two hours, cutting, fixing, sewing. Several packets of blood had been used, their empty containers discarded. It was a mix of human and Being blood, one one had stopped working they used the other.
Finally, it was done. The battle wasn't over yet, but this part was finished. They could move Loretta to a room from here, monitor her until her vitals became a bit more stable. They couldn't take her back to America, not until she healed. The simple act of moving her, transferring her from the OR to a room was risky, but they needed this space and it wasn't exactly the most sterile either. So Doctor Atarashi helped with bated breath as they moved her from a gurney to a bed, setting up the machines and taking her away.
He went to find Zero, knowing that the boy would want to go to her side as soon as possible. He found Zero on the ground, Ren attempting to call him back. "What happened?" Doctor Atarashi asked, kneeling down, checking Zero's pulse and heart. The good news would have to wait, first they had to get Zero to a room of his own.
