A week had passed, slowly coming up on two. There seemed to be no signs of change, aside from the fact that she had become a bit more stable. Today she had seemingly become restless, going into cardiac arrest twice. Doctor Atarashi seemed to be more worried by the day, he had been digging around in government files in search of a clue, something that could help. It wasn't needed though, as the sun came up, Doll rose with it. It began with her eyes, slowly opening, turquoise orbs staring at the ceiling. She tried to say something, but the tube in her throat inhibited any sort of speech. Her hand lifted, but she felt entirely too weak and it fell before she could even think of pulling it out.
Somehow, this little bit of movement had set off an alarm. Dr. Atarashi sighed and shut his computer, running to the room and finding what was perhaps a miracle. "One minute, let me take that out for you." He pulled on a pair of gloves, taking the tube out. "How long?" Doll asked, her voice quiet, as though she were testing her vocals. "Almost two weeks." Her eyes were clouded, most likely from all of the pain medicine. Doll swallowed, but her mouth was dry so it made no difference. "Dizzy." She closed her eyes, feeling like she couldn't breathe. "That's expected, it's a side effect of most of the medications." Doll opened her eyes again, there was someone missing, a warm presence that was gone. Perhaps she had dreamed it?
"Zero?"
