While Martellus felt the ritual nearing its finish, a massive group of 30 Grandun soldiers appeared from around the corner. Knowing that he was severly outnumbered, he grabbed the bookcase near the entrance of the hidden passage, he then proceeded to pull the bookcase causing it to topple over and causing the massive bookshelf to block the entrance stopping the Grandun soldiers from following him.

Martellus soon arrived in the room still covered with a few splotches of blood from his previous fight. He then proceeded to stand in front of the portal as Archmage Kyle calmly handed him a rag. "I want Elisabeth, Simon, Cacilia, and Vidari to step forward." Martellus announced as he began to use the rag to wipe the blood off his equipment. After the four would get together Martellus spoke again. "I will be quick about this since there is 30 Grandun soldiers just outside this hidden passageway. once we all enter the "portal" all civilians will follow behind one minute after we have entered, the mages will then proceed to destroy everything in this room before making their way to the king and prepare a final stand." With his speech finished he turned back to the portal before taking a deep breath, then afterwards he leaped into the "portal" hoping that everything was going to work as planned.
