Horatio nodded at both Charles and Ira as they formally introduced themselves. He was a bit surprised, however, when Ira spoke further...making, of all things, a quip about his looks. The older Alpha looked over at the one-eyed woman, clearly surprised to hear her make such a jest. He didn't feel offended in the slightest though, of course; if anything, Ira's brief moment of mirth made him feel...relieved. Despite the way they parted, it seemed that Ira was willing to let what had happened then stay in the past.

"You're one to speak, Ira. You're the only one here who's missing a body part, after all." Horatio quipped in turn, smirking a little himself. Ira gave a little chuckle in return, apparently amused by what he said.

Pleasantries, such as they were, exchanged, Horatio looked over at Anna next. She probably had a few questions that needed answering. "We've met before, as I'm sure you've gathered. Your father and I served in the same Pack with Ira when we were young. Back before his...injury."

"Isaac Ward was one of the bravest...and suicidal...men I've ever known." Ira chimed up at this, giving Anna a small smile. "He was always willing to do whatever it took to make sure we all made it out alive, even when it meant risking his own life. He was a good man to work alongside."

Horatio nodded at that, more or less agreeing with Ira's assessment there. Isaac had been a good man to fight alongside; it was a damn shame he'd been forced to retire so early. But, then again, Anna may well not have been born if Isaac hadn't gotten that leg wound, and forced to recover at a hospital in New Life. If there was one good thing to come out of that mess of a last mission...it was that it eventually led to Anna being born, and joining the Dogs when she became an adult.
