As he wrote down their order, Hinata nodded in answer to Risa's question, grinning happily. "Yes, that's true. She won't tell me any details, but I don't remember her ever being close to anyone in Heaven, so I wonder what her reason is for being here." Hina reluctantly ended the conversation in order to tend to his other customers, returning to Makoto and Risa every chance he got in order to chat more. Yuzuki came up in the conversation once more, and while Risa seemed to be a bit skeptical about the girl, Hinata and Makoto spoke about her as if she were the most interesting person they'd ever met. The rest of the evening passed slowly, and without any drama other than a drunk college student who came in to half-heartedly insult Hina and Jintan. He was escorted out and evidently passed out on the street outside, so an ambulance was called, no one even batting an eyelash. After all, such circumstances weren't uncommon at the cafe. By the time Hina's shift ended, Risa and Makko had long since left, so he and Jintan made their way home, stopping by the grocery store on the way. Their conversations were always very lively and random, which was something that helped them to get along. XX
A few days passed in much the same fashion - group lunches, volleyball practices, cafe visits - and suddenly, it was Friday. The weather was rainy and cold, just the way Hina liked it, and it was a good thing his bag was waterproof else it's contents would have been destroyed long ago. "Makko! Yuzu!" Hina hopped over to his two friends at the shoe lockers, grinning brightly. It seemed Chitose had left before them for one reason or another, and it was up to Hina to notice that neither Makoto nor Yuzuki had brought an umbrella. "Here. You can use my umbrella, since neither of you brought one today." XX
Hinata handed them his umbrella and smiled, playfully tousling Makoto's hair as he left, and headed to work. He arrived at the cafe once again soaked to the bone and shivering slightly. "Hideki, you should either buy and umbrella or remember to use one. You're going to catch a cold if you keep this up every day, and you're no use to anyone if you're bed-ridden. " Hinata chuckled quietly at his manager's words, and got to work. XXX
