Hinata was grateful to see that Makoto hadn't been hurt, but in remembering the fact that they still weren't on good terms, he turned his gaze to the ground in awkward silence. To his slight surprise, it was Makoto who spoke first. Hina listened intently to his words. He was looking for me? His eyes grew wide as he realized Makoto's memories had returned. It seems his surprise was obvious, as the brunette then explained how. The mention of a music box brought several different memories from the back of Hina's mind, and he couldn't help but give a faint smile, knowing Risa's helpful intentions. XX
The feeling of lips on his took Hina by surprise, but it was a feeling he'd missed for so long, and he kissed back gently while bringing his good hand to intertwine their fingers. Hinata smiled into the hug and tried his best to hug back without aggravating his injuries. He opened his mouth to say 'I love you', but was interrupted, and Hinata couldn't help but feel vulnerable in his condition. He was far too tired to try and fight back, and he doubted his body could take any more harm. However, that didn't stop his protesting when Makoto threw himself in front of the oncoming blow, and he wrapped his arms around his friend in an attempt to pull him out of the way. The blow never came though, luckily, and instead several new figures entered the scene. XX
Hinata managed to succeed in pulling Makoto down onto his lap, which made him wince slightly in pain. "Makko, are you okay? You didn't get hit right?" Once it was confirmed that Makoto was alright, Hina allowed himself to finally stop worrying, and held his dislocated shoulder while trying to regulate his breathing. It wasn't until he heard Chitose's concerned voice that he completely registered the presence of other people. Looking up, he found that Chitose was indeed there, as well as a man he only recognized from a photograph in Makoto's bedroom. So he must be Makko's ex-lover Shigeru, then. XX
Chitose spoke something about not making her worry, but Hinata wasn't listening. His consciousness was slowly starting to fade and he suddenly found it difficult to stay awake. Visibly wincing as his friends helped him stand, Hina managed to make it halfway to the hospital before he finally passed out. XX
When Hinata woke up again, he was surrounded by bright white lights, the smell of disinfectant lingering in the air. I really hate hospitals... Looking around the room, he was pleased to find that Makoto was sitting in a chair beside the bed, fast asleep and clutching his hand for dear life. For the first time in a long while, Hinata felt the familiar warmth that came from being with his love, and he never wanted to let it disappear ever again. He gently squeezed Makoto's hand and tried to roll onto his side, succeeding after a few tries, but not without a decent amount of pain.Once he was on his side he place his other hand over Makoto's and went back to sleep, not caring if anyone was observing them. All that mattered was that he was no longer alone. XX

*muffled screaming* They're just so damn cute...
