The Grove
Over near the fire, what had, until moments ago appeared to be a bundle of old clothes discarded by one of the residents, stirred. A ragged sleeve was pulled sluggishly away, unveiling a trail of bright ginger hair spread beneath the figure, and a wide, grey-blue set of eyes that gazed up, half-lidded, at the canopy overhead.
A human among creatures was, perhaps, a little unusual...or at least a non-magical one. However, most of the folk going about their business paid the presence very little mind, stepping around or sometimes over the girl as they carried on with their morning.
Helena had been in the grove for long enough that few people paid her much mind. The druids had vouched for the reliability of the girl and they had no reason not to be sincere.
Besides, she was not what one would call threatening.
After a good few minutes of staring at the sky and the leaves, the young woman clumsily pushed herself up into a sitting position, and endeavoured to try and clear some of the fronds of ginger out of her vision. She was not entirely sure how she had gotten there.
