Surge stood there staring at the door waiting to get the all clear signal from one of the team members on surveillance duty. He felt slightly uneasy. So far this had been far too easy, too simple. Surge was expecting an ambush along with everyone else, and the fact that nothing noteworthy or out of the ordinary occurred seemed to indicate an ambush being a likely scenario.

Once Hecate spoke up he nodded towards the others, and began to speak in his usual dull, almost monotone tone of voice."Security would make sense. Probably just a few cameras, maybe an alarm. I can disable it, a small electromagnetic pulse should do the trick. They'll know someone was here but not until we've done what we came here for." As he spoke he could feel a decent amount of electricity flowing into the office. There was more than just the normal devices in there that was sure.

He was about to enter the office when Chiaroscuro spoke on the device and mentioned taking bets on the ambush he stayed silent. He wasn't much of a gambling man but an ambush seemed likely. If company was coming Surge reasoned it would be best to get in there now. If there was an ambush there was little they could do about stopping it, so it was best to spring the trap and deal with what came next accordingly.

He quickly opened the door, and before anyone else could enter he discharged a small electromagnetic blast. The cameras and whatever alarm system was in there as well as any other security measures quickly went offline. Of course the same did not go their earpieces. He designed them after all, and he always took his own powers into account with his devices. "We're in. Lets do what we came here to do and get out out of here."
