Sam gave a long suffering sigh, throwing her consciousness toward Edd-Es-Gee. Of course she'd be on the wrong floor. She skittered to the edge of the desk she'd left her construct on then took to the air, skirting over Nora's head just close enough that she'd feel the air displacement from Edd's wings but not close enough to actually touch the blind prophet. The last thing she wanted right now was for Nora to go into vision-mode and zero in on where she was hiding, or worse.
The construct followed the same path she'd taken on her first run of the building's locks, only this time she took a second staircase one floor higher.
"So, Delphi Dearest," she heard herself say into the pod in her ear. Omen was a stupid name."Mind giving me a bit more direction than 'up?' Maybe 'left' or 'back' or 'louder, you fool, this is a tuba you're playing, not a harp!'"
