How long had it been? An hour or two? Erika wasn't sure. She only knew that she'd been carrying the young woman on her back for what felt like a pretty long time. The journey and extra weight didn't really bother her, but the sand that had managed to find it's way into her bra was testing her patience. After checking Talim in and escorting her to a bed Erika made a point to excuse herself and tidy up a bit real quick-like. This mostly consisted of freeing any sand she'd picked up from her clothes and gently washing her arms and face for several long minutes. It was quite refreshing, her sensitive skin appreciating the fresh water after some time away from it.

Shaking her arms a bit until they stopped dripping, she took a deep breath and made her way back to Talim's room. Taking a seat nearby. As she waited for news about the other's condition, a hospital meal arrived for Talim. Erika took the tray and set it on her lap, gazing quietly down at the food and drink. Although she was waiting around to take care of Talim, her mind was currently elsewhere. She was pondering how she would feel if one of her own daughters got hurt. What a troubling train of thought... She had to remind herself that this was probably someone's daughter as well. Best to make sure she was taken care of before she got too worried about any theoretical dangers...
