Makoto tilted his head in slight surprise upon hearing that Hinata was intending to take them to somewhere else, not riding home straightaway. He secretly wondered where they are headed to this late in the night, but then just brush it off with a smile, "Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. I didn't want to get home for now too. But where are we going anyway? I'm curious." He asked, though Hinata seemed to just signaling that it's going to be a surprise.
After a while driving through the city to the suburb area in the outskirt of the town. The journey was rather long, but it was nice to get away from the bustle city for a more peaceful and quiet place. Gazing out at the car's window, Makoto could see that the farther they got away from the city's light, the starrier the night sky seemed to be. It was really beautiful, indeed.
Then, Hinata finally parked his car at a hill of sort. He then led Makoto through the steep path to the top, where the first thing that come into his sight was a huge cherry blossom tree. And when they're finally the top of the hill, a magnificent view were opened up in front of his eyes. The stars were shining brilliantly on the night sky and the whole view of the luxuriant Tokyo filled with colorful lights were breath-taking. It was truly a lucky thing to be able to see a scenery like this.
"Wow..." Makoto grinned while standing at the edge of the hill's cliff to enjoy the scenery. "Why did you know of a place like this but never take me here before?" He asked. In the next few moments, while feeling the night breeze over his face and gazing at the stunning view in front of him, Makoto quietly thought about the journey he had been through his whole past life and the present life.
True enough, since the moment they came to light by the hands of their Father, they know that they've already meant for each other. There was never a second that they were away from each other presences and they've always remained close to each other, more than anyone. It was a tragic that they have to parted for centuries, only to meet again in this new life as normal humans. Their love had gone through many storms. But in the end, they still managed to find their way back together. A bond that could never be cut.
Then, Makoto's attention was turned to Hinata again as he turned his back to look at his beloved. He was already on his knee and holding out a small box. Makoto's breath was almost taken away in total surprise when he proposed to him. Although it was supposed to be a romantic moment, he couldn't help letting out a chuckle. "If I am the one who was proposed to then you supposed to call me your wife, baka." And right after, the most sincere smile of Makoto were drew on his face, "Of course I will, Hina-kun. Let's continue with our journey for eternity."
And then, he quietly held out his hand as Hinata put the diamond ring on his finger. It was beautiful and perfectly fit him. This is the proof that no matter what happen in the future, they will never be apart.
Both of them stood together at the cliff as the night wind blew again, carrying the cherry blossom petals to the end of the horizon.
