She didn’t fit right in her body, with all that power crackling beneath her skin. Those dull orbs locked onto Khay’s mouth as she spoke the words, those teeth flashing. For some reason, though she had once been human, she was not afraid. In fact, calm seemed to come over her body, tension releasing from her shoulders as she blinked once, twice. It was like she was coming back into her body, instead of jumping from one shattered mind to the next.

The slight push at her mind would reveal utter chaos. The screams of those who were risen only to be brutally put down by the two people in the other graveyard in the woods. It was a buzz in her head, and she was in control of it. Just a single thought and one of the zombies moved, hurtling out of the way of the baton only to die a few moments later. A groan of pain slipped from Queen’s lips and it felt as though she would cry.
