Myra laughed at Darius' comment, laughing a bit harder when he kissed her cheek reversing their position. Her smile turned into one of admiration and dare she even say love, gently she placed a hand on his cheek.
"What worries you? Has something happened?"
Myra let her hand run gently down his arm, she bit her lip breaking their gaze. Darius was a prince, he would be expected to marry a princess, and though Myra was a princess, she was the princess of the most powerful kingdom that had burned at the hands of his father, and if his father ever found out she was alive, that her bloodline remained, she would have a very large target on her back, and if the King ever found out his own son...
Myra closed her eyes at the thought. The King would stop at nothing to end any memory of her and her family, even if it meant killing his own heir, she knew that.
"You are expected to marry a princess, have heirs for your throne. I may be a princess, but I am princess of a kingdom that burned to the ground. My true name is only spoken by my people when they are mourning my death...And if your father ever finds out who I am, and that you have been with me in any way..."
Myra brushed some of his blonde hair from his face leaning up bringing their lips back together.
"I don't want something happening to you because of me...I'm not worth the risk...I am not worth your life Darius."
She kept her eyes closed making sure her lips stayed only a few centimetres from his, she wanted Darius, wanted to be with him...but if anything happened to him because of her. Myra sighed pushing the thoughts from her head, her lips finding his once more, she tangled her fingers in his hair laying back so her head was against the ground again, her body against his, she felt complete with Darius.
They could worry about the possible consequences later, couldn't they?
