Dustin observed the machinery and automatons surrounding the inner workings of the citadel with a sense of awe. His people were exceptional metalworkers, but not to this degree. Taqa were used to power certain objects and processes. Even one of his daggers was energized by a Taqa crystal in its hilt, but he had never laid eyes upon handcrafted metal beasts of labor brought to life by the crystals.
"What is your 'better solution,' Mr. Rowlen?" Dustin looked up at this "core" thing made of a mass of wires and crystals.
