The school was coming alive again. After a few months of blessed peace, Bram could hear the car doors slamming and the incessant clatter, not to mention pitter patter of students chatting and bickering. Another year, he thought, trying to remember how many years he'd been here now. Too many, he decided, but felt somewhat disturbed that he couldn't give himself an exact answer. The staff files would give him a clue, but the last time he was caught sneaking through them he was told off and threatened with an exorcism.

Well, he supposed, he'd just have to not get caught this time, but that was easier said than done.

Having foregone walking a while ago, Bram drifted through the library, listening to distant noise of life. For now there was no reason to greet the new students. If they came to the library, which the more diligent students sometimes did, then they would necessarily be introduced. That is to say, if he felt like it. For now he was content re-stacking the shelves in an invisible state, using his powers and watching the books float by him into their rightful place. He knew the library system like the back of his hand by now, and had little problem remembering which book went were.

It was a constant pain to the actual librarian, of course, but Bram didn't see why death should stand in the way of him continuing his work. It was one of the many, many things that he and the surviving staff could not seem to agree on, even if they hadn't technically had a full conversation on the topic. The amount of times he'd been attempted trapped, hexed or worse– it was enough to make anyone a bit asocial. And these people were supposed to be his friends.

Well, they had been. When he was alive, anyway.
