I lay breathing in ragged breaths still. Blood, dust and rubble caught in equal measure in my throat and covering every inch of my body. I barely heard Oya over my labored breathing but I saw her struggle to stand only to fail and drop to her knees, no doubt my attempt would be worse but she was right, it was best to leave now before we give something else the chance to happen. With a great deal of effort I rolled onto my side and after a couple of attempts made it to my hands and knees. Stone and blood clumped with dust fell from me as I moved, making small clouds that merged to become bigger as I continued to move around. It took a shamefully long time to reach my feet and stand steady. I reached down and helped Oya to her feet, putting her arm over my shoulder and putting mine over hers. I was not sure who was helping who more as we walked but together we managed to make progress.

Luckily the reach of the wolfs head extended far enough that I did not need to lower myself too much to retrieve my sword, though its weight was suddenly a new burden I was not sure I could carry. Though there was no way I would be leaving it behind, so I grit my teeth and smothered my pain as we marched onward.

I noted the door outside was open as we reached it and slowed our pace, worried more bandits might have arrived but peering round the door and seeing Ra with Demeter made me breath out the tension. We rounded the corner into the day light and almost instantly lowered my arm from Oyas shoulder and dropped to the floor. Leaning back up against the wall and letting my sword fall from my grasp as I continued to breath deeply. A small smile crept onto my face thought my exhaustion, my voice coming out in a weak whisper. "Heh, We're done right?"
