She was dreaming.
She sat up and moved back so she was leaning against the wall and let out a silent sigh, running her hands through her dark hair. Not too long after, Lt. Warren's voice rang through the cells and echoed off the walls. She felt herself sit up straighter at his words. We're being let out! She jumped up from her bed and practically ran to her door. She bounced on her toes in anticipation of freedom. Not freedom freedom of course. That was reserved for average, do gooder citizens. Not Freaks. Not criminals. Not killers like her. Like Nadine.
There was a loud buzz then an even louder bang as the lock clicked free and the door began to slowly, slowly open. This would be a problem for most people, but for Nat, she just strode out, moving through the door. Now why hadn't she used her power before? Because, she glanced at the door as she went past, it's electrified. If she tried to cross through while it was active, she would be in for an intense shock. And might even get stuck inside the door. She didn't dare try.
As she moved, her brown eyes scanned the area for Nadine. For Aly. She moved silently, as always. She often cut through some of the obstacles in her way in an attempts to make her pace quicker without running. Running through a prison is not a good idea. Too much attention drawn to those who would rather be in shadow. At least, that's what she thought about it. Once she made it to the common area, she waited in the center, eyes gazing around for her companions.
