Despite having the advantage, despite the Wall Bismark being broken, Raven's army couldn't accomplish anything without their leader at the spearhead of the operation. The dark empress was knocked out in the chaos of the battle and no one knew the wiser. With the entirety of the leaders behind Raven's army out of order, Ally's sniping from up top was all they needed to secure the victory. One by one, Raven's family was put into through the purifier machine, which meant about five days of hell as your body was forcibly cleansed of the one thing it thought it needed so badly in order to live. This darkness was a harmful, horrible substance, all it did was make things worse, so no matter how hard it was to listen to their screams, they didn't have a choice.
After the purification, a very pacified and self hating Harka Shoku was placed in a very high security international prison, interred in Germany due to the symbolism of being locked up in the country that she failed to take over. America and Israel were quick to claim that they were mind controlled by Raven and any territory they captured was given back to those that owned it prior to this, and no further reparations were asked of them. At the trial, Haruka was quiet for most of it. "Yes, I confess, I had everyone under my control." She told the highest court, purposely avoiding the gaze of Annette Kirouac, the full name of the woman who called herself K. Was it really a surprise to anyone that such an influential woman was a member of the International High Court? It was no wonder Sanctum searched for someone of her skill. "Well then, by unanimous vote, Haruka Shoku will be behind bars until the day she dies." And that was that.
The first and perhaps only visitor was Kirouac herself, who grinned at her like an eagle bearing down on her weakened and downed prey. Raven was gone, all that was left was a broken Haruka, resigned to spending the rest of her likely long life here, these four walls would become the only world she knew. "And with this, all will be well." K said cryptically and Haruka narrowed her eyes at her enemy. She was glad that her mind was her own, that she was stopped, but she didn't like that K was on the loose to do as she wished now. "You won't target Yui again, will you?" K shook her head then with surprising sincerity. "No, there's no reason to. As long as Yui herself doesn't want to become a Goddess, my job is done." She leered at the girl behind the bars. "Of course we'll have our best engineers work on a way to replace the light seed with synthetic light, so that no one, Yui included, will ascend."
K left then, leaving Haruka alone. How long would she spend in here until she went insane from all the isolation? But if she wasn't in here, she'd be dragged to her public execution by the people, she was the most hated person in the world now. No doubt there were riots breaking out, outraged that money was being spent on keeping her safe instead of killing her like the monster she was. "This is the rest of my life then." Haruka mumbled to herself, looking dead already. She lost her free will when she succumbed to the call of the darkness, and even free from the darkness, she was still trapped. But her mind was her own and if anything, at least that was something to be happy about.
