Yui seemed to slowly be coming back out of her shell. At first it was in little bits, whenever Ally caught her playing with dolls or stuffed toys Yui would freeze up as though caught in the act of doing something terrible and wouldn't start up again until she was alone. It was a strange thing, but if it made Yui comfortable then Ally wouldn't interfere. Other than these small instances Yui was almost never alone, not even in her dreams. If things began to spiral in her sleep Ally would quickly jump in to drag her back to the surface, ensuring that Yui could have at least a semi-peaceful night sleep. In the morning Yui would write down about whatever dreams she had and what she and Ally did to improve them. This was only for the court-mandated dream therapy. It was a little silly, but Yui didn't mind if it proved that she was innocent.

"Let's go somewhere," Ally and Mizuki seemed to have finally been fed up with being cooped up indoors. The weather was still blustering and cold, showing no signs of letting up, but the three girls had, had enough of being cooped up. Yui was ready to go and do something, to hit the town and see what was going on outside of these walls, to observe how New Tokyo was rebuilding after the attack Raven had led to overtake the city. Ally found them a helicopter to ride in, the three girls somehow ending up at the beach. After walking along the shore, it was decided that they would go scuba diving, but Mizuki couldn't go. Yui didn't want to leave her, Ally was insisting on taking Yui out to the ocean despite the fact that one of them was wheelchair bound. They only went for an hour, Ally in scuba gear, Yui using the new techniques Ally had taught her.

When they returned to the helicopter they were both freezing, their teeth chattering. Yui wrapped herself in a blanket and sat on the seat beside Mizuki, trying to make the shivering stop. It was then that Mizuki made her announcement, deciding that she wanted to live, that she would go through with the treatment. "You're not going to regret it," Yui hugged Mizuki, Ally pulling all three of them into a group hug. "I promise, we'll live the best lives we can." Even if Haruka was in jail, even if Yui never got the surgery to remove the light seed, they would still live to the fullest extent. The hospital was looming in view now, Yui knew she would have to be ready to give plenty of blood for Leo to use to make the proper medicine for Mizuki. Yui was ready, even if there were needles and bad memories, Yui would do whatever she could to let Mizuki live.

"Sixty one, sixty two... seventy," Ronan grunted, placing the weights down. "Incredible," someone muttered, tapping a clipboard. "You've learned to almost completely manage your temper," Ronan sunk down into a seat, sweating. The electrodes on his body were uncomfortable and sticky, but he put up with them since it was a requirement so that they would know if his temper was set off. Out of all the things to nitpick, this was the one the mental hospital had chosen. "Yeah well, the faster it's under control, the faster I get out of here." He unraveled the tape from around his knuckles, the skin red and raw, his knuckles split. "Let's get you some ice for that," a doctor spoke softly, doing his best to clean the wounds. Once Ronan's hands were wrapped he was pointed towards group therapy, a daily drag that made him want to kill himself.

"I hate it here," Ronan mumbled, glancing out the window. He stopped, trying to catch his breath. Lately it was as though he could never get enough air into his lungs. His head was spinning, he had hardly been able to eat breakfast. Ronan's knees inexplicably weakened, sending him tumbling into the floor. "Ro?" Someone poked their head outside the door, Xavier appearing. "Hey!" He called to one of the orderlies that had begun walking towards them with a furrowed brow. "Something's wrong with Ronan!" The orderly tapped Ronan with his foot, trying to get him to rise. Ronan didn't move, his face was screwed up in pain. "Faking a stomach ache to get out of group therapy? That's a new low."

"Not... stomach," he gasped. The orderly frowned, taking out a stethoscope to listen. "Oh my," he helped Ronan to his feet. "Let's get you to the doctor."
