I opened my eyes slowly and at first, there was a blur. I blinked several times and soon I saw thin strings of smoke from burning herbs and sounds of awe around me. "Come back to us. Return to us, my child." I heard the elder's voice and I let out a soft groan as I sat up. I was surrounded by women and a few elders. I looked at the elder that spoke and I lowered my head in thanks to her before I spoke. "I am well, thank you." The women that were near offered small amounts of food and water and they left quietly. I ate and drank slowly as I went over the memories in my head. I was surprised that I had memories of me using some sort of powers, a gift that had been granted to me. I looked down at my hands but my thoughts were interrupted when the elder spoke again. "You sleep for long time child but when you sleep, you speak words. Words from the past." I looked up at the elder in surprise then I quickly looked down. "I-I'm sorry fo-" I stopped when I felt the elder's old frail hand grip firmly on my wrist and I looked in her eyes. Her eyes were dark brown with the grey lining of age and she looked into my eyes and spoke. "Do not be sorry. We have waited for your return and the time could not be more ideal than now. Now that you are ready, tell me your name. Your true name." I looked at the elder and I spoke, my words filled with confidence. "I am Oya."
