A birthday party for a very loved and special girl. Everyone was there, helping set it up - well, everyone other than Leo, Ronan, and Yui, since they were out getting Yui a dog. Not that the dog was going to come home just now of course, and not that any of them really knew exactly what was going on that Yui needed a dog. It was as if the pain and misery of when Haruka was Raven was all in the past, and it kind of was, in the end, wasn't it? Haruka had just as much control over her actions as Raven as the others did when their minds were seeded. It was only a miracle that K managed to make that plan to break the Matsuri sisters out, even if the plan was meant to help Yui escape as well. They went with an underwater theme, making the hospital room look almost like an Atlantean Palace, with streamers the color of seaweed and coral, little fishes made of paper dangling from the ceiling...
All the presents, they too were made with a seashell design, so that if Yui wanted to open them, she had to do it as if she was opening up a clamshell. It was all so elaborate, hopefully their little beloved angel would appreciate it and realize just how loved she was, just how intent everyone was on never truly leaving her behind. And then suddenly they received it, the text from Leo to get ready for the surprise. And as such everyone hid, Xavier turned the lights off, and they all waited for the precise moment. Of course it wasn't really going to be a major surprise, Yui was going to be able to sense them with her blood powers and all. But then there it was, the door creaked open, Leo, Ronan, and Yui were coming back home and then All let out a sneeze that reminded Mizu of sunflowers for some reason, making her giggle. "You morons." Ronan muttered and the light was turned on, the surprise ruined. "Um, surprise?" Damian tried, and the others threw in theirs as well. "Happy birthday, Yui, our mermaid princess!" Akane flashed a wild grin as she said it, helping Yui to her princess throne.
All the presents were presented to Yui, there was something from everyone, and there was even cake, or well, a cake made of crepes, and everyone sang as Yui blew out the candles. "We all love you, Yui." Aria felt almost like crying but of course she wouldn't, that would ruin her cool image, wouldn't it? "We all have something for you, you should open them!" Ally's gift was a school uniform, one in the design of Saint Agnes's Academy for Gifted Girls, made with Yui's measurements. Mizu got her a portable game system with idol music games, but only the easy ones, of course. Haruka had gotten her a seashell locket that could open and had pictures of everyone together inside, including one of when they were the Shoku family together, a brief window of happiness. Inside the locket was a handmade coupon for free tutoring, redeemable unlimited times, and whenever she wished for it.
Aria's gift was a toy microphone that could light up, and Leo's was a whole bunch of books, all for Yui's current reading level, fantasy books, fairy tails, all happy uplifting stories that existed to bring smiles to a little girl's face. Damian had a handmade stuffed duck, with a dorky goofy face on it, and Xavier had a crepe-making-machine for easy crepe satisfaction, whenever needed. And Ronan, last but not least, his gift was perhaps the best of them all, an acceptance letter from the Dean of Saint Agnes, for Yui to start her schooling whenever she wished. "Happy birthday, Yui, and happy every birthday from now to the end too." Mizuki said, and then frowned when she realized the ominous ending. "Thanks for being our light." And Aria was openly crying now, because it reminded her so much of happier childhood carefree days.
