It was yet another beautiful and peaceful morning in the lands of Rapsodía.
Kohaku could hardly believe that he was living in another world right now. Not everything was as the same as when he was still walking on Earth, but in an overview, he felt that he's at home. Well, it's not like that the house whence he came from could really be considered as a home for him, after all that had happened anyway. Everything was new for him at first, and Kohaku had to struggle a lot to be able to stand strong as he is right now. For the past year, he had come to love this world and its' people. Everyone was nice and respectful with him. Of course, Kohaku never asks to be revered or anything like that in the first place, but he was glad to be given a second chance to keep on singing.
It was a habit of him to rise up with the sun every morning, even back in the old world, so he had gotten up before most of the people in the castle. Kohaku had been sitting the huge garden at the back of the palace to enjoy the moments of true tranquility like this, since he could never know when would Queen Ardelia send them into another dangerous mission. But no matter what challanges that are thrown at him, he will just continue to stand and sing with all of his heart.
After having a nice breakfast which he made for himself - at the biggest kitchen he had ever seen in his life, Kohaku is now sitting at the piano in the Grand Hall again, one of the common place where he would usually be found if he's hanging around the castle, other than the library, the garden and his own room. A month ago, a huge ball was held here, though Kohaku didn't attend it since he doesn't like hanging around with too many people, and he also needed to be careful or those "jealous people" whom the Queen had warned them of.
Closing his eyes, Kohaku began to sing and let himself flow with the melody of the piano. This song was one of the pieces that his late lover whom he had lost so long ago. Even when he thought that he had managed to find the little happiness that had died in him, it still slipped through his fingers like the raindrops on that fateful day. Sometimes, he wondered whether if he's truly alive or not, and there's many unanswered questions he had about this world.
But perhaps, it is for the best that things should have just stay this way. No matter how painful it might be, clinging to your past can only prove how much of a coward you are. That is why, he must keep his head high, and continue to sing for the future of this world.
"Lord Vier." Suddenly, a maid came into the hall and called for Kohaku, interrupting his song. As he cast his gaze to her, she bowed to him respectfully. "What is it?" He asked.
"I've come to inform that the Queen is requesting you and the other Divas and Divos to come to her study immediately." She said in a formal manner. It was something that took him a long while to get used to. Nodded, Kohaku replied, "I understand. You may leave. I will be there in a moment."
The maid bowed to him again before taking her leave. Kohaku pondered a bit before walking off the Hall to the Queen's study. Since the palace is gigantic, remembering the way around can took quite some effort. But he eventually managed to do so in the end.
When Kohaku is standing in front of the door of the study, he saw that he was the first to arrive, as usual. It wouldn't be very nice to just walk in by himself, so he just leaned his back against the wall, waiting patiently for his fellow Divas and Divos to arrive. As for the reason why Queen Ardelia summoned them, he can almost certain that this is going to be another Thoryvós extermination mission.
