As Aeris sat quietly, her mind wandering to far off places, memories floated by blurry as if he couldn't quite recall them. She chuckled softly to herself, that's what she gets for drowning late nights in booze. She shook her head a bit and sipped her latte, still warm even though she had zoned out quite a bit. Aeris enjoyed watching the different types of people who filter by, the shop being on main street really made her people-watching hobby interesting. Children chased each other in the small park across the street, elderly people sat on benches and various others went by on the concrete. Times like this made her feel rather content with the world. Suddenly a slightly familiar face came up to her, blonde hair and bright friendly eyes. A contrast for her eyes that always seemed to look past you. She smiled a bit as the man spoke.
”Oh, excuse me, miss. I didn't mean to be rude," he seemed like that was all he had to say, a passing apology for. . . Something, maybe he had been staring? Whatever the reason she was about to speak when he awkwardly added something more as an after-thought. "It's just I couldn't help noticing you from over there. You seem familiar, a singer, if I'm right?" Aeris blinked a bit at his odd mannerisms and yet he was so approachable she sipped her drink and then smiled warmly at him.
"You're good, yeah I sing down at lounge, maybe you know my stage name. Mockingbird?" She said with a sarcastic wave of her hand, a mock jazz hands without the energy. She looked over the man and thought him to be rather odd, he seemed like he had more to say so she indicated the chair across from her.
"Won't you join me?" She asked softly, leaning forward to show off her breasts a bit and locking her blue eyes with his.
