The group of 12, in addition to two pups in training who were mysteriously giggling, stopped mid-step. They were still licking their maws from the savory meat they just enjoyed together but the scent of the still-warm bread in front of them had them whimpering softly. The male, blonde in color with black ears, and female, brown with a blonde ring on her forehead, who headed their group looked at the friendly Saffron a little skeptically. Saffrons were kind, yes, but usually any wolf at the festival only spoke when spoken to. The pair lowered their noses to sniff at the sweet baked good.

Nezin rose up, sitting back on her haunches with her forepaws hugged to her chest. Her nose wiggled in the air, dripping. "Ooo that smells really good.." She mumbled, causing the wolves beside her rumbled their agreement. They were silently listening for their group leaders and the friendly Saffron to exchange words. "Can we eat it??" Nezin yipped before immediately feeling a nip in her side and catching a glare from the brown she-wolf. "Shut your trap, Nezin!" Someone hissed. "You were all thinking it.." She grumbled."

"Why thank you kind fur." The male leader spoke after a bit. "I'm sure a certain someone in our group will thoroughly enjoy this. But did I hear you say that our pups were nipping at your tail?"
"And if you really did say that I would be happy if you pointed them out to me. The she-wolf added.

Now that the two were chipping at the ice, the group started to spill out from behind them and circle the Saffron slightly. They left him room to escape if he felt intimidated by their actions, still their tails wagged gently as they quietly gazed him while their eyes sparkled with curiosity. Especially Nezin, she loved new friends.
