I was lost in my task of digging away at the sand to reach any kind of entrance to the temple, it took several hours but I was rewarded with what felt like a small landslide as the sand I was sat on began to slide and shift and before I could react I was sinking into the shifting sands and was quickly lost beneath it. The suffocating darkness lasted only a few seconds before I was spat out into the temple, and began retching up the sand that had leeched into my mouth. Luckily I had managed to keep a hand on my pack and quickly searched it for my flask, taking a quick swig and cleaning out the rest of the sand.

After I had managed to catch my breath I scanned the chamber unable to see much as the only light came from the small hole high above where I had entered from. I pulled a torch out of one of the nearby sconces and lit it to further explore the temple. Looking behind me I was shocked and confused by the way the sand had settled. It looked as if an invisible wall was blocking the majority of the sand from entering the temple, luckily that made the rest of the temple easy enough to navigate. The air was stale and acrid as I moved from the main entrance and deeper into the temple, the statues and carvings were well worn and faded making them impossible to decipher. I spent the next few hours moving from room to room, exploring and trying to discover why I had been compelled to come here.
