Alice swiped feebly at the nurse standing over her. "Water," she croaked, her throat so dry it felt as though she had been walking through the desert for a week. "Sit up now, slowly," Alice propped herself up on her arms, closing one eye to the harsh chemical fueled lights above her. The water was tipped against her lips and Alice swallowed it down greedily, feeling much better. She lay back against the mattress, full well knowing that if she tried to resist now she would only make matters worse with how weak she was at the moment. Alice grinned, she would pay these monsters back in full for trying to restrain her. "Release me... and I won't kill you and everything you hold dear." The nurse gave her a peculiar look, Alice was distinctly aware of someone watching her.
He stood in the corner, arms crossed, eyes locking with her's. Alice grinned maliciously, using a wobbly hand to make a threat by drawing a line across her throat. "Where's... Ophie?" Alice asked, noticing that the room was empty. "Asleep," the nurse replied casually as though speaking about the time of day. Alice leaped up from the bed, grabbing the nurse by the front. "Wake her up!" Alice howled, shaking the woman. The tube began to inject an angry red colored liquid, making Alice release the nurse and slide to the floor, her limbs numb. "What... did... you... do?" The nurse brushed herself off and lifted Alice off of the floor. "It's a paralytic designed to restrict limb movement whenever your vitals became agitated at a rapid rate." Alice had learned to control this things, but Ophie was all Alice had left and she didn't want to lose her.
"What are you bastards doing to her?" Alice growled, no longer feeling breathless. "Let her rest, she's just had a procedure," the nurse smiled cryptically. They had simply been working on fixing Ophie's tongue, the part that she had bit off, but Alice was not having any of it. "Let her go!" Alice growled, trying to thrash, but her limbs wouldn't move. That's fine, Alice could do something else. She made a strange sound in the back of her throat, one that almost seemed like she was choking. Te nurse came closer to investigate and Alice spat in her face. She grinned, watching as the nurse ran from the room screaming. So she could handle blood, but a little spit would hurt? Over dramatic maybe, bodily fluids had never bothered Alice, especially blood.
Oh how she longed to crack open a human skull to watch the blood drip and bleed! But no, she was being kept here, nice and paralyzed. Alice would show them, she didn't need her limbs to fight as long as she still had her mouth.
