"No, I don't think they want to kill us." Alice was regaining movement in her limbs. She was not happy that they took Ophie away, but when was Alice ever happy? She hadn't killed in who knows how long, she couldn't feel her toes, and she just wanted some blood! There was a tingling in her toes, it was all coming back now. Alice acted as though she was still numb of course, she would use this to her advantage. "But I want to kill them," Alice mumbled the last part. If Ravus could leave, then go! What was he waiting for? Was he weak from that syringe?
It was hard not to move, Alice wanted to sit up and stretch, she wanted to go bite that stupid rabbit in the neck and take a swig of her blood. Oh how delicious it would be! Sure, Ophie's blood was great, but Alice liked a little variation in her diet and she had never drank a rabbit's blood before. Humans, coyotes, spiders, eel, but never a rabbit. Alice's mouth was watering just thinking about it. The bat licked her lips hungrily, her stomach was making funny noises that Alice wasn't too keen on. Ophie had been returned, she was now laying in bed beside Alice and making strange sounds. "What did you do to her! Stop hurting Ophie!" Alice growled, working hard not to move.
"It's just some pain medicine, don't worry." Alice had, had pain medicine before and her pain medicine never made her this funny, or at least, not that Alice could tell. "Fix her!" Alice demanded, wanting to end this nurses's putrid life. Humans did not deserve to touch them, not after all they had done to hurt them. "Don't worry Ophie, Alice will protect you." Alice nudged her head against Ophie's hoping that it would somehow comfort her friend in a way that no one else could.
