Elie couldn't tell if Tim was trying to be nice or if he really did like the food. It was a unique taste, but after a few bites it started to taste better and better. Eliana only hoped that would be tha case for Tim otherwise she would never be making food for him again.
You can be brutally honest, if you don't like them just say so! I won't be mad, i swear. she assured him and fully meant it. After all, it wasn't
her recipe. Assuming she had done them correctly, which she had she decided immediately after taking a bite, then the taste should be kicking in soon. She continued to eat in silence, all the while watching Tim out of the corner of her eyes. Once finished, she set her plate aside, not entirely sure what to do with it. Was she supposed to just throw it away?
Really, i need you to tell me the truth because if they're not good then i'll know never to make them for you again she says with a playful smile, but meaning every word. Before Tim could answer, Eliana felt her phone vibrating. She didn't even bother to check who it was, she already had a hunch.
"Eli" The huntress smiled.
"I know" she answered immediately.
"How's the weekend away going?" she asked, deciding not to say anything too specific. Their phones could be bugged.
Pancakes? Jakub almost laughed. The hunter could have asked for anything yet he asked for pancakes. Jakub nodded, giving Eli the okay before heading towards the kitchen. If his hunter wanted pancakes then pancakes he would get! Deciding to check his phone before getting to work, Jakub saw several missed calls. Most of them from numbers he didn't recognize, probably looking for him to do some job. Well he was off for the weekend, he decided, so they would all have to wait. He did, however, notice a message from a family name.
Lucio. The demon let out a sigh, but felt the relief once he read it. He wasn't requesting his presence for anything, nor did he say he was coming over. From what Jakub could see, the demon was checking in. Probably testing to see if Jake would reply to his message in a heartbeat like he used to. Deciding to ignore it for now, he tossed his phone back on the couch and headed to the kitchen. After pulling out all the ingredients, he got to work on his boyfriend's request.
