The Imperial Republic Army of Artaran was already in Jaspar, their forces crashing against the newly built defenses. L was leading the charge, he couldn't be a good Conqueror if he was one to lead from behind. No, he faced the charge head on from the front, his back being an inspiration to his men to keep up. "Today we take Jaspar and bring us another city closer to world peace!" Waging war for peace - it didn't make sense, not unless the warmongerer was going to instill peace for the world under one banner. There was only one way they could bring large peaceful civilizations back again, to the age where humans prospered - and having independent little cities constantly skirmishing against each other was not the way to do it. To unite humanity means to make them strong again, so that they could overcome the calamity.
"The catapults are in place, sir." Pablo's voice went through the walkie, brushing his lavender hair aside, signaling the boats armed with catapults to begin opening fire, large flaming stones sent flying into the commerce city of Jaspar, causing wanton destruction and the city became a blaze, people dying left and right as they ran out of escape routes. It was planned perfectly, after mapping out the streets during their scouting mission, Pablo and Lise. Pablo would use his catapults to start fires, and then Lise's ground troops would march the enemies and corner them so that they had to decide between death by fire or death by gunshot. Each catapult had utterly precise aiming. "Good work, my boy." L praised the genius. Another of his soldiers, a captain known as Sam, also gave congratulations. "This will be a cinch, Pablo." The two boys were close and it made L happy to see his men getting along well. They were like a big family, after all.
Meanwhile Lise, a twelve year old girl, and there was no one more skilled at combat than she. Without even a light bearing mark, the Ace of the Conqueror's Army was able to defeat Stella and capture her. She was leading a small elite team while L was taking care of the bulk force, a joint attack to strike at Jaspar and shake the city to it's core. She fought with a small eastern-style sword, long, curved, and very sharp, as well as a gun emblazoned with L's seal on her hip. And then someone blocked her path, standing in the way with a large stick with a hammer at the end of it. "Little girl, you know nothing of war." Tanka said with a hearty laugh. Lise smiled thinly, she had been looked down on many times in the past now. "I'm not the Ace just for show." Lise dashed forward, slicing outwards with her word with a sudden burst of speed.
Jace's private ship had finally docked and the city of Jaspar was alight, a massive inferno sprawled through the city, it was beyond anything Rose could have expected. "Miiko, stay close to me, no matter what, you can not leave my sight." Jellyfish's eyes were serious, a series of bubbles were already forming to clear them a path through the flames. "Gavin and Callum are stranded behind enemy lines." Jace informed them. "Daisy, Jellyfish, you two have more experience, so you two need to get there and keep them alive." Jace turned to Rose and Miiko next. "The three of us have to go to the Vine Citadel to make sure Mayor Lindon is alive and well, we can't afford to lose him." Rose nodded, her rapier at the ready. "Understood."
